Sports Day

Despite the rain, Sports Day still went ahead for most of the children today! Well done to everyone that took part and thank you to all the parents that came to watch. All of the medals will be handed out in a special assembly next Tuesday at 9.10am. Parents are invited so please come along!

School is closed for a staff inset day but will be open again on Monday 27th June

It is transition week and your child will spend time getting to know their new teacher

 

Friday 30th June

Non-uniform day in exchange for bottles for our Summer Fair

 

What else has been happening?

Reception have been learning about the Gingerbread Man

 

Year 2 have been building lighthouses

 

Year 5 have been writing about friction and  pulleys

 

Year 6 have been practicing for their end of year Lion King performance.

 

Gardening Club

The gardening club have been benching up potatoes, harvesting strawberries and are now looking forward to growing their peas!

 

A big well done!

Well done to Aqib Jawad in Year 6 for being selected to compete for Team GB at karate. His first international competition will be in Italy later on this year. We’re all very proud of you!

 

Year 6 Business Challenge

Our Year 6 class began their Business Challenge this week. Talha and Aqib went to a board meeting at Tesco with Mr Roach on Monday and the whole class are now busy making their ‘canterns’ ready to be sold on trading day on Monday 3rd July.
